DAY 8 - Vias - Apt

Vias - Arles - Cavaillion - Gordes - Roussillion - Apt

Finally left Vias, leaving various goodies for our very kind hosts…

Drove along the coast - ugh touristy goodness.

Over the Carmargue Delta…Up to get lunch.

Lunch was then eaten looking of Luberon, in the company of many little white snails.

Next stop… Gordes…pretty pictures taken, and onto Rousillion, land of the oompah-loompahs. At Rousillion an ochre vein is at the surface leaving various shades of yellow, orange and red rocks, which makes excellent warpaint or fake tan. Tom posed in a suitable manner and Jess got proper hobbit feet, much fun was had by all.

Off to the campsite where a bouldering wall kept Linds happy. She managed to figure out how to ask about the grading system, asked the people using the bouldering wall, just to find out that they spoke no french at all but perfect English…grrr.
