DAY 2 - Dunkerque to Chateaudun

Dunkerque - Calais - Beauvais - Mante-le-Jollie - Chartres - Chateaudun

Driving off the ferry, the 3 drove as long as their brains could cope with to a lay-by where 2 hours sleep was grabbed. After this a french-patisserie provided breakfast outside a cathedral in beauvais, a theme that was continued through the next few days.

Tip of the day: Always ask the locals about the best sandwich fillings

In Mante-le-Jollie we asked in a local boucherie about some fillings and we were well rewarded. French sun, french food and a very french town.

The next stop was Chatres, Linds had sung and played in the cathedral before, but going back was fun. The town has far more to offer though……

The evening was just as fun. Tractor driving Goats on the banks of a river had to be the ideal setting for the first day. We even had a cup of tea…
